Welcome to tonight’s Song offerings.  These are songs of the greatest Love, and songs of the ultimate Sacrifice.  We sing of the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys, a garden of spices, an orchard of pomegranates, the apple-tree in the wood, and a world so beloved that a Life was given.  We sing of the falcon and the knight, the lion and the unicorn, the pelican and the hydra – medieval metaphors for the resurrected Christ.  We sing of the slaughtered Lamb and of a Mother’s sorrow, we sing of the solemn joy on Easter morn.  Inviting the North Wind to reanimate our souls, we Sing.
